INSIDE

Villa Andina

We created a business model that can be applied to the wide variety of raw material available in Peru and that improves the lives of the local farming communities. This way we cooperate with all stakeholders involved with the value chain.

HOW

We Work?

We get actively involved with the local community and work to know each of the farmers personally. This makes it possible for us to identify each plot or field that provides product to our processing plant. We offer free technical assistance, training in organic certification, financial support, and pay Fair Trade prices. All these factors contribute to improving the living conditions of the rural families.

It is situated very close to the cultivation fields where we work hand in hand and directly oversee more than 5,000 farmers. This ensures a constant flow of prime quality raw material to our processing plant.

In Lima, not far from the port of Callao, we have another processing plant for our quinoa and other Andean grains.

Here efficiency is maximized, and under the  strictest standards of quality control  we offer grains of the highest purity, free from saponin and microbiological contamination, hence we meet successfully our customers requirements.

We group our product portfolio in three mayor groups:

Dried Fruits

Our freshly harvested fruits are subjected to a process that ensures the preservation of their nutritional and organoleptic properties by controlling the processing temperatures below 45 ºC (110ºF).

Andean Grains

Grains with an extraordinary high nutritional value, native to the Andean region and traditionally cultivated by the rural farming communities.

Cacao Derivatives

Excellent flavour cacao, carefully cultivated and processed to enhance flavour, aroma and texture, so as to preserve the high antioxidant content of this “Food of the Gods”.

Super Foods

Superfoods are gently dried focusing on preserving all original biomarkers and nutritional properties, controlling the processing temperatures below 45 ºC (110ºF) is a key factor.

Certifications

We comply with the rules and regulations governing organic and raw production, and also with the principles and criteria for Biotrade and Fair Trade.

We ensure the sustainability of our business activities, the quality of our final product in accordance to the strictest quality control standards of the food industry, and also work for improvements in the living conditions of the local farmers and the well being of the final consumer.
